I had a guy who worked for me in the early 1980's his name was Henry McClendon. When he applied for the job he did it in person. While I interviewed him he mentioned he was a caddy at Augusta National. Back then Augusta National providing all caddies, you were not allowed to bring your own. The golf course is closed over half the year and he was looking for work for the off season. He could see he had my interest so he told me he would come back the next day with his portfolio. The next day rolls around and here comes Henry carrying a large scrap book. He opened it to the first page and there was Henry with Sean Connery arm in arm. The next page had Henry with John McKay (football coach). Facing that was Henry with Farrah Fawcett and there were many others. During The Masters Golf Tournament Henry never drew a good player to caddy for so most of his memorabilia was from celebrities he caddied for and not famous golfers. He drove a sweet 1960's Buick Riviera. I have not heard from him in over 40 years. I hope life has been good to him.
I had a good friend who was the arborist for The Augusta National and when he made visits there he would sometimes take his daughter. He said on one trip he was in a cert and dropped his daugher off on the first hole to look at some of the trees there and he then visited a couple of holes before returning to pick up his daughter. Hw spotted his daughter in the left hand rough getting a big hug from another woman. He drove over to them and his daughter had befriended a weoman and upon close inspection it was Celine Dion, who was there playing golf or with her husband who was playing. Lots of celebrities play there, but ther majority are probably titans of business that you have never heard of.
