Well, they are stupid. I think it was Auto Zone that just announced today they they were going to start cutting workers hours to 30 a week so that they don't have to close their doors. They along with Red Lobster, Olive Garden and several other national chains have all told their employees that this is due to O'dumber Care.
All businesses that have over 50 FULL TIME employees must offer health care. If they don't then they face a $3000.00 fine per person. So, the bad news is that these businesses will be cutting peoples hours so they can reclass them as part time. Good news is the unemployment numbers should go down because you'll have to hire a few extra part time employees to work the hours that the company is taking from the other guys. I hope these full time workers can handle the cut in pay.
