Offensive Run Blocking, Defense, and Weitz I salute You

If we had run on every play we would have scored one or two TD's. The OLine blew them 2-5 yards back every time. Pass blocking was not as good, as the gamecocks usually had one guy get through most of the time. And so glad to see Weitz have a game after he put his career on hold. A flawless performance by him.

And the Dline was even more dominant. They played like a fire was lit under them every play. My pops kept saying "we were going to lose the game". I said the "defense has got us". "They can't do anything against our defense". Kudos to Goodwin and the boys.

We STILL need to overhaul most of our offensive philosophy and coaching. I think some changes need to be made with coaches but I think Dabo also has to look himself in the mirror and realize some of his philosophys need to change. It's not just Cade. It's a lot of stuff.

For the past three years we haven’t had an “up and coming “ challenger to our incumbent qb. I really wish we would go into the portal and get someone who could take the qb job from Cade if Cade doesn’t grow into a dynamic passer and leader. I realize we are spoiled . Not everyone can be 16 or 4 but Cade has no one pushing him. Neither did DJU.

I do think we should have at least given the backup or Vizzina a shot when it mattered just to see. But I think the offensive issues run much deeper than Cade and it is not totally fair to judge his play based on this.Who knows if Dabo will make any changes? I think it is a possibility that he doesn't even with the most positive people insisting coaching changes are coming at a minimum.
