Favorite Clemson basketball games of all time?

Haven't seen this discussed much here.
a few that come to mind for me. (I can remember as far back as 99-00, so 90s or earlier for me).
- 74-48 blowout of Duke in Littlejohn during the Purnell years - First win in Chapel Hill - Blowout win over Auburn in the NCAA tourney - Oglesby led comeback at Maryland - Upset of #1 UNC in Littlejohn which ended up being the same day Dale Earnhardt was killed - That crazy multi overtime win over Wake in the Shyatt years. Like 118-115 or something.
what are some of yours?

John Moose Campbell, Larry Nance, Horace Wyatt, Billy Williams, and Bobby Conrad blow out of North Carolina, January 2, 1980
Great basketball team. Great night for Clemson basketball. That would’ve been a final four team If it weren’t for five minutes of add basketball against UCLA.

They followed that one up at home a couple of weeks later by beating Duke. We had over 14,800 in there and the fire marshal wasn’t pleased. It was rocking from the rafters, the isles or anywhere you could find a spot. Great season that year for sure!

This was my favorite of all time. I was a freshman. I sat in the isle about ten rows up. It is impossible to describe for anyone that wasn’t there.

Win over Carolina in the ACC semi with the dunk by Buckner. Win over Duke in Littlejohn to clinch the ACC regular season in 1990. Win at Chapel Hill.

I was a sophomore and in the rafters for that ‘90 win over Duke. My favorite in person by far. Although, we beat the tar holes one time on a late shot by Chris Michaels that was pretty great. I’d have to look up the year.
Sadly, that 1990 run was closely followed by a 1st round loss in acct to the last seed deacons. Ugh.

For me that would be against Connecticut when we were 1 game away from ?
No local TV so watched it with friends at a Matthews Sports Bar. We won, and then we did not.

No doubt!!
I also seem to remember a game at Duke where JJ Reddick beat us with a layup at the buzzer where the clock was slow to start.

We must be close to the same age.
One I would add would be the victory over Duke that sent us to the ACCCG under Purnell when we had Hammonds, Rivers and Perry.

Watched it was a bunch of friends at our apartment as a student. About 10 minutes into the 2nd half I looked around and realized we were all standing up; sitting down just wasn't gonna cut it anymore.

Probably my favorite year.
We had 3 OT games that year. Won the first two, the other one was Duke(?)
Unfortunately lost the third... a true classic, double OT loss to Minnesota.
Hard to believe we've only been this far in the NCAA 3x in my lifetime

Great topic - in person

A few of my favorites that I actually attended - the duke win in the acc tournament semi finals - Cheyenne Moore hit a 3-pointer in overtime in Columbia to shock the chickens - the Virginia tech game where olu babalola hit a three and Sharrod ford dunked to beat the Hokies on senior day
Watched on television - Buckner Jams in the acc tournament - listening to Tim and Don in the first chapel hill win - comeback over lasalle in the ncaa’s ‘90
As far as heartbreakers there is not enough bandwidth to come close to all of the tough losses.

The comment about not enough bandwidth for all the Heartbreakers.... truer words never spoken
So many great ACC games in the 90s that went down to the wire that just didn't go our way

Cliff Ellis was the coach. By the way have never understood why we let him go and have kept Brownell so long. We beat Duke in Littlejohn and win the regular season ACC. We did not win the tournament. Dale Davis and Elden Campbell were our twin towers. It was as loud as I have ever heard.

Cause he had three NBA level players 2 of his last 3 years and and came up empty each time. 91-94 were tough years. I’d also say he made his own bed with the one year contract deal he negotiated.
I liked Cliff, he just didn’t do much after 1990. He was the master in getting JUCO talent. Essentially the portal before the portal.

Wayne Buckingham is the reason Ellis was fired. His recruitment was handled so poorly, that Barnes’ staff couldn’t recruit off campus for his first year at Clemson - despite firing Ellis and completely cleaning house.

Kirkland howling hitting the big three pointer against UNC in 89. Quarterfinal win against UNC in 1996 ( Buckner dunk). Semi final win vs Duke in the ACC Tournament. The Duke game where Ogelsby missed the dunk at the end. Win in Chapel Hill.

not because of the stakes of the win but just the drama was the Sharrod Ford buzzer dunk off a turnover to beat Virginia Tech, just seconds after Olu Babalola hit a rare three to tie it. 5 points in like 10 seconds to win.

1996 ACC tourney win against UNC with Buckner dunking with less than a second to go.
December 1975-beat UNC with Skip Wise owning Phil Ford and taunting him with his dribble daring Phil to take it.

Bill Foster, Billy Williams, Moose Campbell, Larry Nance, Bobby Conrad, Horace Wyatt and team take down Gminski, Spanarkel, Banks and Duke. Biggest crowd in history of Littlejohn. Fire marshals took the night off, and all seats and aisle ways were jam packed to the last rows of seating.

The UNC upset was my first ever Clemson sporting event. My roomie and I were able to sneak in and ended up under the hoop. Storming the court was amazing. I thought it would always be like that. Ahhh to be young and naive.
