Given all the other Atlanta franchises using birds of prey as mascots have been massive failures well over 50% of their lifetime I would say F the PC popo.

How about "The Fighting Natives". There is a mascot for a high school in one of the reservation lands that are "The Fighting Whiteys" (seriously... google it) So if someone has a problem with that, then both would need to change or not. Ha!

and doing outreach to Native American organizations. With actual visible Native American support for their organization...no one will care what a bunch of Leftist Democrats say about the use of 'the name Braves'.

Yup...similar to FSU's approach.

FSU wrote a large check and got the Native American community in their corner and now, no one bothers them anymore about the use of the name Seminoles.

Would have cost more to rename, copyright, change logo on everything, and build back up their brand than to make a deal with the Seminole tribe. I guess the Washington football team and the Cleveland baseball team would have had to make deals with all the Indian tribes. So are the Kansas City Chiefs and the Braves going to have to make deals?
The woke are more worried about it than the Indians. I've heard people at work that have been to Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort and saw some of the Indian people wearing Redskins and Braves jerseys.

with the Cherokee Indians, and a very good one at that. In fact, to honor and recognize the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, each year the the Atlanta Braves host an annual Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Night at Truist Park. The team's outreach to the Cherokee tribe has really paid-off for them too, and the tribe is now very loyal to the team and the Atlanta Braves name, so the franchise couldn't care any less what "the woke" says or thinks.

Hammers. Great reference to one of top five players of all time who played pure with no drugs, and then the city needs a little bit more hardcore reference anyway, and is a pretty industrialized place.
