Any suggestions on the best way to get tickets for the BC game this year? And not have to sit with the BC folks...

Because of the schools unusual tailgating policies, their fans tend to show-up late and leave early.
I generally buy tickets to BC from StubHub.

Thanks, I haven't been to BC since 2008 (actually, Dabo's first win), and I can't remember how I got the tickets. haha. I do remember the fact that I had to take a 30 minute shuttle ride to get to the stadium, which was less fun on the way back after the win.

My wife and I were at the 2008 game as well...great win! I purchased tickets on the BC Athletic site a couple of days ago and will be on the visiting side, section P. The Clemson band may be in section P or O as I believe they were there when we last went.
Didn't have a problem with BC fan's having been there 3 times...MD fans were much worse.
And be forewarned...parking at BC is awful.
Enjoy!

Take the train (The T) !!!!
Parking is a nightmare all over the city. Don't rent a car. Stay near a train station and take the T.

You will have no problems with Eagle fans. They are polar opposites from gamecock or Wolfpack fans. Games in their Stadium are very enjoyable and Boston is a city you will love. Go Tigers

I see where you live so you are probably more familiar than any of us with New England!

Ha! Yes, I think that Boston will be totally different this time. Last time it was my first trip to the city and tried to drive everywhere. Now I understand transit!

Our experience at BC was NOT great.

I went with my wife and really good friend in 2018. Great roadtrip overall but the some of the fans at BC are classless. A couple of examples:
#1. The opposing teams basically run through the concession stand in the middle of the stadium at the end of half time and the beginning of the second half. The way is "shielded" by plastic tarps on both sides going up about 10 feet or so. I saw fans throwing drinks over the tarp and on to the players when they were going to their lockers at half time.
#2. Two idiots (white males / 20-30s) were sitting in front of us talking really loudly so we could hear about how Clemson fans were a bunch of rednecks, etc, etc the entire first half. When we finally had enough, we told them to get it in while they could because they'd more than likely to be gone by half-time (and they were).
The fans before the game outside the stadium (and some inside) were fairly nice so it's clearly not all the fans there but I'll not go back.

I did not have a bad experience there, but not the best either. Unfortunately, that's the only "local" game I can get to, so I HAVE to go back!

The only negative experience I've ever had up there...

and I have been several times, one particular BC fan was being rude and insulting about our southern accents. I politely told him to refrain for any further derogatory remarks or the next thing he heard would be the sound my my fist smashing into his big Yankee mouth. Never heard another word out of him for the remainder of the game.

I have gone to a lot of BC games because I also visit my daughter and grandkids who live in MA.
Normally just buy them from BC. You can get them from Clemson but the seats normally are not that good unless you like the end zone.
I know a number of BC grads and they are nothing like some of the other universities we play.
The parkings suxs and there is not enough of it so it might be best to take public transportation or get there early.
