But will the women’s basketball team be able to compete with the new transfers? It shows loyalty that his old team is transferring here, but does SoCon players relate and compete with ACC players?

Probably not but there's something to be said for a team mentality. At least most of them will have played together and sometimes that cohesion helps. I think his goal is to field a competitive team and ramp up the recruiting after.

than they have been? I guess only time will tell. Hopefully they can gel, get some results, and that leads to momentum on the recruiting trail in the future

I haven't looked at the Lady Tigers 24 - 25 schedule but I'm going with 90/45. Win 90% of the non-conference games (7 - 5 this past season) and 45% of the conference games (5 - 14 this past season) and things will be looking better.

They did just make the tourney but it is concerning because UTC's last loss was a 20pt loss to Nancy St. We did just get a transfer from UNC so there's that.

Yes, Chattanooga would have SMOKED us this past season. It will take time for Poppie and the staff to get the recruiting rolling, but the players will be well-coached and prepared, unlike Clemson's teams the past few seasons.

No they wouldn't. They beat etsu by 2 and 15. We beat etsu by 25 and that was with subs. You probably didn't watch the whole season but we weren't bad the whole year. We had the injuries in January that were our best shooters. We were really thin.
No, Amanda didn't light up the world but she was starting to recruit to compete for, and win the acc. Our recruiting and facilities, as well as admin support was completely lacking. Not sure what on with Neff and butler but she certainly wasn't afforded the same opportunity as Brad was.

You do realize that Poppie has 7 transfers and only 3 are from Chattanooga and they were his best players. The other 4 players were highly ranked in the portal with the UNC player having a good resume.
Really the only thing lacking I think is that true post player unless we had one on tge bench that didnt play last year.

you do know they were ranked 13 out of 15 in the ACC last year
that's bacially the bottom of the league
