is it possible the Cordarrian Richardson situation

may have put the Tiger recruiting staff behind on recruiting other running backs??
Maybe the staff backed off hard recruitment of some other top RB's after Richardson committed? He was certainly highly sought after until the grade changing scandal at Trezivant HS.......and thats taking nothing away from Z.White's commitment to UGa and others.....those schools certainly have plenty to offer as well

We got Etienne in that class. I don't see how last year impacted this year, in that regard.

I think we will be fine also,now that feaster has another yr, under his belt and got some playing time last yr,he will be ready.he prides himself by practice hard,being in weight room,and trying to be the best rb,he can be,so with his motivation and will to be better every time he touches the ball,I truly think this season will be a special one for him,and for the fans to watch.with are exsperence line and some other backs to push him,and his great speed,and shifty moves,and great hands for passes out of backfield,the sky is the limit.

Feaster and Etienne are going to be a tremendous duo at CU . No doubt in my mind .
Like that we have veterans like CJ Fuller and Adam Choice to handle the ball as well .
We have no lack of talent at the RB position , just need to get them going in week one and see what cream will rise to the top .

Had Cordarrian Richardson stuck at RB, we wouldn't have spent time recruiting Travis Etienne last year. That time could have been spent recruiting ahead for Zamir White.

I think anytime you get a commitment from the player you want and basically stop actively recruiting other players only to have that first player not sign, it sets you back.
You have to switch gears and go back to square one with a bunch of wasted staff time and lost traction with other players you might have pursued and signed earlier.
All this being said, sometimes you just luck out as in the case of Nkemdiche where what seems a disaster turns out to be a blessing.

No that's not it. Staying with White to the end set us back. We kept our promise but now need to convince one of these committed backs to switch to us.

We take one back per class, if I am not mistaken. It's not like if we had taken Richardson, we would've stopped recruiting 2018 backs.

Yep, we wouldn't have signed Etienne, who was actually rated higher than Richardson. Only thing we lost was the big back presence that Richardson brought to the table, which I am not sure exist in the 2018 class. I have seen one guy mentioned lately (forget his name) , just not as fast.
We were obviously looking for an elite back in this class since early last, at least.

We lost time, because we thought we were set at RB and then had to go back to square one with staff recruiting effort.
I have no idea what that time actually cost us in the long run ... maybe nothing. But, there is only so much time that our staff has to devote to recruiting and I believe they stay on it pretty tight schedule.

We're fine at RB. Not a lot of starts but that's what happens to anyone that loses a guy like Wayne. We have depth, talent, and experience.
It's kinda weird how our coaches got strung along a bit but I guess that was how they decided to pitch to White, commitment for commitment. It was a bold move and didn't work but if it had they would look like geniuses and the elite OL players we're going after would have very very attractive RB's and QB's to protect at Clemson. A smart OL player will know it's good to have a QB that will get highlight time since they will always be in the highlight too.

I don't think it was weird waiting on White. That's because it was only June. It was so far before Signing Day. The coaches knew they could still land a very good if not Elite back by the end of the cycle.

He's 210 coming out of high school and has jump cuts that'll make you go blind.
Good vision, good speed....he's going to be very good.
