Watching 89 Cu/FSU game Big game for Danny Amazing the fuzzy video we watched. Charlie Ward was the kicker and PETER TOM WILLIS was FSU qb. We had some studs on DL. BTW We won 34-23...

It was 34-6 until mop up time. Bobby said it was the worst beating he had taken at the time at FSU. It helped us get over the punt rooskie.

I worked with PT Willis for about 10 years. He was a very nice guy and not prideful at all. I didn’t even realize he had played for FSU until one day I was in a meeting and when PT walked in and a coworker said, “PT Willis, the man that got Mike Ditka fired.” That year the Bears were on track to make the playoffs and their starter got hurt so PT had to start the last five games. The Bears lost all of them and Ditka got fired. Once I knew who PT was we had some great discussions about football. He was a freshman on the team in 89 and said he remembering them practicing the puntaruski play all week and he would just shake his head and think that is never going to work. PT actually got fired from the FSU radio network for being overly critical of Bowden at the tale end of his career, when one of Bowden’s sons was the OC and was terrible.

The Bowden boys has not been nor will they exceed PAPA Bowden Accomplishments in football.
