Here in Cooterville -- a discussion of when is the last time

Clemson went into a really hostile(SEC like--85,000 seat) stadium and came away with a win? They all think we will wilt on the field to their crowd like UGA did 2 years ago. These Cooters sux.
Go Tigers!!!!!!!!!

I would say beating a ranked VA Tech team at night in the snow/ice would foot that bill.

My immediate thought was VT as well, but in all honesty NCSU is just as hostile as Williams Brice and a lot of SEC stadiums. No, it's not the Swamp, LSU, or Kyle Field but it's right there with that second tier of SEC stadiums IMO. Of course no USC fan will agree.

There are a number of rebuttals available, but a few highlights:
1. USC game in Columbia, 2007
2. I am totally convinced that Clemson would have beaten Auburn at Auburn their NC year if they had not speared Parker the way they did. At any rate, Auburn's toughest out that year was Clemson.
3. Google "loudest college stadiums" to find a number of websites with ratings. You will find VA TECH's Lane very highly rated by everyone and always way above the Willie. So much for the high school label.
Out...

victories on an opponent's home field (SCar). While this stat is bolstered by most games having been played in Columbia through 1957, our away record since then has also been extremely impressive.

I've been going to this game since 1955 or '56...not every year but most years. The only thing I've learned is that I am terrible at predicting the outcome. Of course, I always pick the Tigers and I've been right more often than not on the pick but I haven't been too good on predicting the margin or how things will go in the game. I'll settle for a one point win and get out of there.
