Haven't had time to scan the board to see if this has been

discussed. And I don't have time to scan it now. If this is not of interest to you because it has been mentioned, unclick and get about your life.

Florida State BOT will meet August 2. There is nothing on the agenda to indicate that they will discuss plans to leave the ACC. It is interesting that they have until August 15 to let the ACC know they are leaving if they plan to play in another league, without waiting an additional year. Their fans on some message boards seem to thing something is going to happen along those lines sooner rather than later. If that is the case, I have no idea how they will deal with the GOR, but it does fit the time-line David Hood was estimating by saying some of this could happen before football season starts.

*The best way for the ACC to perhaps renegotiate for a larger number with ESPN would be to have some Pac12 teams join if that league collapses. Washington, Oregon, Cal, Stanford, Arizona State, etc, and have a western division. I really don't see that happening for a few reasons.
1. Doing that could open up the GOR and then all bets are off as to who would leave the ACC.
2. Oregon and Washington would only want a temporary home until the Big10 calls for them.
3. Likely not enough money to add those and divide the pot to where each school increases revenue.

The best scenario would be an intact ACC with addition of Notre Dame to exist within about $10 million of the Big and SEC. Since Notre Dame will never do that, the league will continue to earn an amount that is unacceptably lower than the other two. Dabo said the other day that Clemson has always won with less money than those guys and he asked, what has changed. Well, Dabo knows better than anyone what has changed. NIL, and the real possibility that it will soon be pay for play means that if you have that much less money, you will not be able to compete. What he says in public and what he discusses with President Clements and Graham Neff are two different things and I know that.

It is a great credit to Dabo and staff that they are recruiting on the level they are at this point.

Again, the most interesting thing this week may be the FSU BOT meeting.
BretFSU, what are you feeling on this?

Bringing Notre Dame's annual rival Stanford into the league would not be a bad idea. That might nudge them into the league in the near future. The only thing that will drive ND to join a conference is if P5 schools from the B1G, SEC etc stop giving them noncon games by getting so large and going to 9 or 10 game conference schedules. They will need to join a conference to put together a decent schedule. We saw what happened in 2020.

I chalk it up to sensationalists posting headlines on websites for click bait.

So you have time to write a four page essay but no time for a twenty second search? Pretty sure only old men who wear high water pants with white socks would buy this fabrication
