First hand evidence that 2023 will be special

I was on a date last night at Dave & Busters. While absolutely dominating her in everything except a fluke game of Skee-Ball (not a real sport), I noticed that three of our projected defensive starters were there as well.

I was really impressed with their competitiveness. It was in stark contrast to Amber’s lack of killer instinct and win at all costs attitude that I’d require from the future mother of my children. She took so many L’s that I was totally OK with her taking an Uber home by herself before we finished our best of seven series in Pop-A-Shot (I was up 3-0), even though she had elite quads.

Since I was now flying solo, I asked the guys if they wanted to split the Churros and Pretzel Dogs that I ordered. They must have had a big workout scheduled today or something else important since they politely declined. As expected, they were all class and represented Clemson well.

I have zero doubt that players at lesser programs like Florida State and Oklahoma don’t compete like that in their free time. Honestly, I don’t know if they could even find Dave & Busters with a map.

Buckle up boys and girls, 2023 is going to be a special season.

of the caliber of young men that our staff works hard to recruit. It’s a character thing. You can’t be much of a Clemson Man if you don’t possess that intrinsic disposition.
