Doesn’t DJU go up against our D every day? So….

Are we taking it easy on him? Because UGA didn’t, and he looked like he’d never seen that kind of pressure. Does Dabo not allow BV to go all out on DJ in practice? Sure seemed that way.

Agree 100 percent. Seemed lost and locked in on 1 receiver.
We ran the same plays that we got beat down by OH.St. last year.
Tony Elliott is not creative enough outdated

wont let our D hit him. Big difference. I though he looked rattled most of the game. Very disappointing and surprising given how good we think he is

So the DJ we saw against ND isn’t the same QB that played last night. He’s got it, but last night he didn’t believe it.

Dr. Pepper isn't quite in the Mountain Dew range, but is still one of the more caffeinated soft drinks, so yeah, he could have been jittery.

When we were beating bama for Nattys, our offense could put 40 points on any team. Since then, our offense has struggled and its starts with the oline. And remember, we lost Coach Scott as the co-offensive coordinator. I think that's the biggest issue no one has mentioned. I enjoy everyone's comments.

a drug induced haze. And at NO time did he look like he wanted to run the football at all. That certainly has to change, because our offense is largely predicated on at least the threat of the QB running.

Re: practice, I think there’s actually more here than we’re hearing about. I think our offense gets absolutely worked by our defense in practice. Consistently. Dabo’s practice notes from the fall were telling IMO. He’s always positive and it wasn’t quite as bad as him complimenting O-lineman on having their shirts tucked in but you could tell the coaches had concerns. Part of me thinks the O-line is getting so whipped in practice on the reg, it’s leading to a lack of confidence across most of the offense. Not just the line but DJ and RBs. As QB, DJ has to step up and lead, even if he’s not ready. Sounds like he’s trying to do that, first in on Sunday watching tape, etc. I watched a handful of DJ’s Bosco games and (same as ND) he had poise and confidence. Didn’t see that on Sat night much at all.
By no means am I suggesting they ease up on the offense. I just think the coaches need to find some different and better methods than what they’ve been using the past couple years. Our O-line does not play with confidence or urgency. TL masked a lot of this but it’s been there for awhile. When you rewatch the game you can see O-linemen, when beat, just give up on the play, literally throw their hands up at times. That feels like a unit that gets beat a lot. Coaches better figure this one out soon.

Maybe he’s not as good as he thinks he is. Or that he was told he was for years. Looked scared, confused and inept. Tough first game for sure. Halfway decent O line wouldn’t hurt.
