Aside from the coldest I’ve ever been in my nearly 60 years, following is anecdotal report on school representation.
Clemson and UT by far the most. Next was UGA followed by Bama. Most shocking was not a single person in coot gear.

Didn’t see a single person wearing WV gear. Did see 1 FSU, 1 Texas and 1 Miss State.

Always a good day when no coots are around. Sounds like a good day except for the cold.

Same here. Wanted to see the drone show. Arrived at 1230. By 730, told Mimi that’s enough. She agreed without protest.

if you like pronouns and spending 10x the cash…i certainly agree
they are not compatible experiences
the wood of dolly is the best entertainment value out there these days
it isn’t in the category as a mega park

I live in Florida. I’m a Walt Disney World annual pass holder. Disney is like a city of its own. Endless resorts, fine dining, shopping, nightlife, entertainment, and four parks. I pay $600 for an annual pass. One trip for many is over $2,000. So when I go my tickets are paid for and we get 35% off hotels being Florida resident pass holders.

well I am not a florida resident and therefore dollywood is a much better value
and the great smokey mountains are pretty awesome - especially in the fall
worked out ours last year to 15 dollars a person per day for a family of four - pretty solid
and a 3 hour dr vs a 8 hr drive - no brainer
can’t weekend getaway disney 5-6 times a year
…and I neeeeed to get away 5-6 times a year lol
under 1k for fam of four gold passes - unlimited entry and free parking is solid

We went to Disney right before Covid. Spent 3 long days in the different parks.
Hadn’t been since I was a teenager. It’s certainly a different scale than Dollywood but I enjoyed Dollywood much more.
Staff and visitors were so much nicer. Almost witnessed 2 brawls at Disney. It also seemed many areas were in need of an update.

Disney is currently in the middle of many renovations. They just finished Epcot and it looks magical!

In my opinion Disney parks are the cleanest in the world. You will NEVER see trash or food on the ground and their grounds and cleaning crew are top notch!

For about 15 years every Thanksgiving we spent that week in Pigeon Forge. Before that we we several weeks a year back in the 90’s when our kids were kids. It was a family tradition. During the summer my family and many times friends spent most Saturdays on Lake Bowen. As a kid from 1964 until the late 1980’s our grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and other family Spent the summer at Lake Sheila near Sakura, NC.
Now my Mom ( Super Woman ) and my ( Dad who was my hero and best friend ) has passed. It seems families are not as close as they use to be. They are together and I am happy for that. But not a day goes by that I do not miss them. They gave me something special I shared with my kids as they grew up, their Time.
It great that you and your grandkids were able to enjoy time together at Dollywood. May you have many more of those moments together with family.

I've been up there during a couple of Clemson games (I believe Maryland in 2011 and Notre Dame in 2020) and there are always a bunch of Clemson shirts. Almost everyone I know in Greenville goes there occasionally.

Have had some great conversations with fans from different schools while up at bar having a drink. One thing I have learned is most seem to respect the heck out of Dabo.
Enjoy your time.i cannot imagine how cold it is up there. It’s freezing here in Fort Mill.

A coot-free zone is a good place to be. Enjoy it and consider yourself fortunate.
