Can anyone (honest-to-God) explain what Clemson ATTEMPTS to do on offense scheme-wise? I've watched a fair amount of Tigers basketball over the BB era that struggle to score but never seen a team that makes me cringe this much.
Let me sum it up for you. We have four players that stay around the key, one down low. Nobody moves to try to get open down low except that one player. We pass the ball around the key until there's almost no time left on the shot clock and throw up a prayer. If we don't do that we turn the ball over or shoot a low percentage mid-range shot.
Last season it seemed Brownell had finally figured it out with his newer players and the pace was a bit quicker, but alas, right back to Brownell ball this year. He just doesn't know offense. Solid defensive coach, but his offensive scheme is worse than many high school teams.
