A little info on Tyshon Dye
Oct 12, 2014, 1:12 PM

I was standing by the West Endzone enterence yesterday and Tyshon Dye walked in right next to me. The good news: kid is a monster! He looks a good 20lbs bigger than Choice and is carved out of stone. The bad: walked with an obvious limp. Coaches can say he's almost ready to come back, but he isn't. I really hope he can get healthy. Kid looks the part.

I watched him walk at least 50 yards with my own 2 eyes. Has a definite limp.

That could be soreness due to working the injury

or it could be a little mental at this point, maybe a mixture of both?
I've seen people list his injury as a much longer full recovery time than this October, BTW. With having him available for our bowl game, as being realistic.

that, "big RB" we've been missing the last 2 seasons. IMHO, I think he, like Watson, changes the dynamics of our O completely.

Agreed you can't count on him. If he plays next great not I wouldn't put any stock in it

And that may be the case. I was just reporting what I saw. The kid is big! Looks to be about the size of Stephon Anthoney.

Saw him both jog to and from the lockeroom, both times I was impressed I didn't notice a limp.
The limp by the way is due to the lack of muscle in his calf at this time most likely. Atrophy of that muscle during Achilles recovery is that main issue at this point.

In most cases, after 6 months your risk for rerupture is similar to other years after surgery. It's higher than anyone else that has not had an Achilles injury, but if he's on pace, he's likely dealing with the mental aspect and the calf strength issue the most at this point.
Main point is, don't judge him based on him limping or not limping on the sidelines. His doctor knows more than we do about his individual case, they won't clear him if he's not ready.

has not played a down of football in 3 years. RB situation really sucks. Lots of quantity and no high end quality

If TD is hungry and wants to get back in the game I'd expect him to be in shape and look engaged. It sounds like that is the case. But we need to get him back to 100% health, or he will just re-injure it. Don't push it. And double ditto that for Deshaun. Make dang sure that finger is 100% healed. Nothing we can achieve this year is worth ruining the future with him.
