Clemson by the numbers: Tigers lead nation in first downs gained, allowed

A dominating 52-3 over Wake Forest only strengthened increasingly impressive numbers on offense and defense this season.

With 11 games under its belt, Clemson leads the nation in both first downs gained (291) and allowed (120) and also holds the No. 1 spot in pass efficiency defense (89.92).

The Tigers are also top-5 in both total defense (2; 238.2 YPG) and total offense (3; 543.1 YPG) and scoring defense (3; 10.7 PPG) and scoring offense (5; 45.9 PPG), which only Ohio State can also claim nationally (No. 1 in scoring offense, 51.5 PPG; No. 4 in total offense, 541.7; No. 1 in scoring defense, 9.8 PPG; No. 1 in total defense, 216.4 YPG).

Individually, Trevor Lawrence moved to No. 6 nationally in points responsible for (204) and Amari Rodgers is now in the top-15 on punt returns (15; 10.6).
