Future Schedules

Future Schedules
I had a caller on my radio show the other day asked about the schedule the next coach at Clemson will face. The ACC has released the football schedule through 2015. Dates are not released until January each year. I think I have most of the non-conference opponents right but some of these contracts are hard to keep up with and some will inevitably be broken before the games are played. Here is the best I can come up with for the next seven years:

2009
ACC Homes Games
vs. Wake Forest
vs. Florida State
vs. Boston College
vs. Virginia

ACC Road Games
at Maryland
at N.C. State
at Georgia Tech
at Miami

Non-Conference Games
vs. Coastal Carolina
vs. Middle Tennessee
One Non-conference opponent TBA
at South Carolina

2010
ACC Homes Games
vs. Maryland
vs. N.C. State
vs. Georgia Tech
vs. Miami

ACC Road Games
at Wake Forest
at Florida State
at Boston College
at North Carolina

Non-Conference Games
vs. South Carolina
vs. North Texas
vs. Presbyterian
at Auburn

2011
ACC Homes Games
vs. Wake Forest
vs. Florida State
vs. Boston College
vs. North Carolina

ACC Road Games
at Maryland
at N.C. State
at Georgia Tech
at Virginia Tech

Non-Conference Games
vs. Auburn
vs. Troy
vs. Wofford
at South Carolina

2012
ACC Homes Games
vs. Maryland
vs. N.C. State
vs. Georgia Tech
vs. Virginia Tech

ACC Road Games
at Wake Forest
at Florida State
at Boston College
at Duke

Non-Conference Games
vs. South Carolina
vs. Ball State
vs. Furman
at Vanderbilt

2013
ACC Homes Games
vs. Wake Forest
vs. Florida State
vs. Boston College
vs. Duke

ACC Road Games
at Maryland
at N.C. State
at Georgia Tech
at Virginia

Non-Conference Games
vs. Vanderbilt
vs. Georgia
vs. The Citadel
at USC

2014
ACC Homes Games
vs. Maryland
vs. NC State
vs. Virginia
vs. Georgia Tech

ACC Road Games
at Wake Forest
at Florida State
at Boston College
at Miami

Non-Conference Games
vs. South Carolina
vs. Coastal Carolina
at Georgia
One non-conference opponent-TBA

2015
ACC Homes Games
Wake Forest
FSU
Boston College
Miami

ACC Road Games
at Maryland
at NC State
at Georgia Tech
at North Carolina

Non-Conference Games
vs. Mississippi
vs. Wofford,
at South Carolina
One non-conference opponent-TBA

The ACC has not released schedules beyond 2015 but out of conference opponents for 2016 are at Mississippi, vs. South Carolina, vs. S.C. State and one TBA. For 2017 and 2018 the Tigers have Oklahoma State scheduled.

Comments:

I hope that our next coach has us ready to compete with Auburn and Georgia. Speaking of which... How did you like TDP meeting with Kiffin in Detroit? Too much to hope for.

hopefully by the time we play Auburn and Ga as nonconference teams we will have recruited some olinemen so we can stop w all the excuses(INJURIES/INEXPERIENCE/ETC)all teams deal w this and inexperience should never be an acceptable excuse on the line.

Obviously it's hard to say anything about the level of competition years in advance, but we have some potentially rough road schedules during even years and some really attractive home schedules during the odd years.

As jcope said, let's hope we are at a place where we can really compete when we drive down to Athens and Auburn.

ON FUTURE SCHDULES ON THETIGERNET FUTURE SCHDULES, OKLAHOMA IS LISTED AS AN OPPONENT IN 2011. YOU DID NOT HAVE THEM ON YOUR LIST. IS OKLAHOMA STILL SCHEDULED?

an extra regular season cupcake for a game 12 game, conference championship games, plus a bowl game = 14 games = the traditional 11 game season plus an 8 team, 3 game, national championship tournament.

oh well, guess all those reasons given for years about why it was not practical for a true championship were just excuses after all.

it could even be a 4 team, 2 game format , keeping the conf champ and bowl games in place.

there are many formats that could determine a true champion. this is complete bullshite!!
