Born in Walhalla, SC in 1948. My father's family always worked in textiles and my mother grew up on a farm so I am proud to say that I am 50% redneck and 50% lint head (no insults intended to anyone, this is just how I describe myself). My mother has a picture of me at ~ age 1 with a rat cap on that says "19??" on it so saying I'm a life-long fan is absolutely correct. I graduated high school in 1966 and joined the U. S. Air Force (best thing that ever happened to me, showed me the value of an education)in 1967. In 1971 I entered Clemson and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1976, the government having paid my way through via the G.I. Bill (I love this country!). I worked for DuPont in Aiken, S.C. at the Savannah River Plant from 1976 to 1980. I joined Duke Power at the Oconee Nuclear Site in 1980 and have been there ever since and I am now "electrical technical support" for ONS Maintenance. My wife is named Phyllis and I have two step-daughters, one grandson, and a granddaughter that are a real joy to us and 2 nieces I love like daughters.
