Pardon my skepticism of LSU all of a sudden stepping back from a call to the bagman. Maybe the free market version of paying players just doesn’t suit them.

Now we just need all the other coaches/schools in FBS to do the same thing. I do think a lot of people are catching on that it’s not sustainable, and you can’t partake in the shenanigans and hope it gets better.

I lost respect for him when that kid that filmed practices died bc the tower fell. A normal person would stop practice and make sure the kid is ok and when you find out he died, you don’t continue practice. I’m sorry but ever since then it’s hard to respect him. Go Tigers!!!

If they aren't buying players, it's only because they don't have the money. I don't doubt that some of their players were paid under the table in the past, but that was chump change compared to what the top guys are getting now that it's legal.

Hypocrite…
His move to LSU was all about money..his salary and the money LSU is willing to spend on the program…

Now he faults kids for chasing money …
They aren’t getting the d-line recruits he wants ..so he uses a contrived excuse…

LSU seems like the kind of football program that would encourage doing whatever it takes to get the players they want.
