I’m excited for the fans and players who got to see the run to the Elite 8. However, this anomaly will be the Unicorn that CBB will get to ride for another year or two. There’s about 40 points or so that are graduating and the rest of the team is going to have to step it up a lot to make it through next season. Maybe Chase comes back and we can find a center in the portal… or maybe the new guys will be able to get involved quickly.

Extend so that he has 4 years remaining, which should be the max.

He already had salary bumps in his existing deal so just stick with those, and please no adjustments to the buyout.
Performance bonuses likely compensated him for his 3 NCAAT wins. No need for additional salary bumps as he still has some making up to do from prior seasons. Let's not forget our 1-3 finish prior to the 3-1 in the NCAAT this year.
Hot seat years have produced our best seasons under CBB. Next year will not be one of those, so let's see how he performs when the motivation is more within than without. He has a lot of momentum behind him right now. How he handles success this time around will be key.
Go Tigers! And congratulations Brad on a great finish. Tiger Nation is proud.

I don't either.
People usually get paid for performance and anticipation of future performance.
As good as a season as this was, I'm not sure anyone thinks we are now a perennial top 25 and NCAA tournament team.
I'd be fine with a contract extension and moderate raise and performance incentives to make the contract good for the coach if we continue to excel.

I would prefer to see consistency rewarded. Losing 2 nit games and then being in elite 8 isn’t consistent performance.

But I expect Neff to be let go for not firing BB when he had the chance.
Not sure what BB’s current contract status is, but I would expect it would extend to at least 4 years. And I am good with that, unlike many around here. Glad TNet is not in charge of coaching decisions.
