What will we see in the Spring Game?

I know the season is a long way off, but since Jawja is the first opponent we will see, it begs that question. I expect the offense for both the Orange AND White teams to be about as plain vanilla as it gets. That is one view. Another is, throw all kinds of crazy trick plays and formations (that we will probably never really use) out there, so that the Dawgs will have to waste precious fall camp practice time preparing for all of them. Each view has merits.
What I suspect will happen, with this being our first real foray into the public view under Offensive Line Coach Matt Luke, the game plans will focus on EXECUTION of FUNDEMENTALS, even moreso than in the past. In other words, we are going to just line up our'n, and see if we can overpower your'n. Have a good old, straight up Slobberknocker that hearkens back to the Days of Danny and Dooley. That seems to me to be the personality of Matt Luke, and I hope to see it shine.
I am also still waiting for the real introduction of the shiny new toy that we were supposed to get last year in Garrett Riley. It got hung up in the Christmas stocking, and never really got broken in. If he was hamstrung by a lack of talent in his inaugural year in Tigertown, at least some of those deficiencies have been addressed. And a year of experience in the system should yield better results for Cade and his supporting cast that were already here. It will be an interesting Spring Scrimmage Saturday.
Go, Tigers!

Passes out on time and 10 yards or more down field _ quick releases.
Another thing is QBs with a confident pocket presence with an understanding / feel for where the defensive pass rush should come from and how to elude it.
Better OL and WR play will be the basis for both _ but the QBs have to step up decision making.

Hopefully Cade balling out and Vizzina looking better. Receivers that look like gazelles getting open and after the catch.
On defense Sammy Brown looking like the next edition of Luke Kuechly.

The offense was terrible last year (again). Hope we see some kind of improvement at a lot of positions, but spring games rarely show much. When you split up starters to make two teams, you get mostly a mish-mash of plays. We might see Wesco catch one deep. Hopefully, we'll see Cade engineering some drives.

I'd like to see CK be able to stand in the pocket at least 3 seconds.
And to your point about Riley, he didn't have a lot fo work with in terms of receivers last year between all the injuries, etc. This year will be different. Much, much different.

I honestly don't expect to see anything new. Run and screen heavy with a mid range pass here and there. Whether the offense has developed or not, don't look to see them give much away.

Guessing what you see in Spring Game will not be what you see against Georgia. Starting Offense and Starting Defense will not be on the same teams.

Flashes, from a lot of different players.
We hear about them from closed scrimmages and practice, and get a few on X from time to time, but I hope we see a lot of them Saturday. We know the game scripts will be vanilla, but those flashes show us what we're capable of doing.
A RB can make a big run OR make an explosive block on a blitzing safety. A pulling OL can make a pancake block on a WR screen.
Flashes, everyone, just show us flashes.

I agree, I don’t see Clemson showing a lot that Ga can see. I look for this being a practice on fundamentals and working on some overall improvements. I look for a lot of the Running backs to get carries.

Unless something drastic changes, it will not be a game and is not going to show much of anything.
