How has he figured it out in year 2 of coaching the coots. They seem to be on a roll. Not sure we would beat them if we rematched today. Seems to have it figured out. Ready for some td’s , don’t flame me. Honest questions.

I really don't know, but he changed his lineup since we played them. If you remember, they were up by as much as 11 points. Controlled the game until late in the game.
@nctigs probably knows. He keeps up with a lot of bball teams.

I am thankful we had that game early in the season as it is one of few highlights so far....but if I'm being honest, I wouldn't want to play them right now either

The key to them is they defend at a very high rate, like Clemson used to. I think early in the season they were still finding themselves with new transfers and freshman, but now them have really found a nitch and strong chemistry. Don't think too many teams could win vs Kentucky, at Tennessee, and at Georgia for three straight games. They should shoot up in the top 18 this coming week.

They have one of the best players in the conference in meechie johnson
They were up 11 and then we outscored them by 16 points in the last 15 minutes of the game.
Their top 3 scorers are gone after next year. We shall see if they can sustain after this year. Remember they were incredibly bad last year.

They also one of the best freshman in the SEC, and a couole of other good young players, and recruiting well. Most of these guys were from the transfer portal. When future transfers see what he can do for them they will get even better transfers next season. Did you also know Clemson loses 3 of its top 4 players after next season? I guess you ware orange colored glasses 24/7...

Based on what I read here, we never play well down the stretch and always choke.
Are you sure you have your facts straight?

Not great offensive team but is dominant defensively. Great coaches look at what they got and play to their strengths and he makes adjustments and get his guys prepared each and every game.
They are not a historically great basketball program, they don’t poor money into their program and they don’t out recruit Clemson. So how is it they have turned things around so quickly. Oh I know they fired Frank Martin who is a proven coach and historically better than BB. Then they finally landed on a decent coach. You don’t have to have a historically great program just finally make the good hire and everything else falls into place.
