Is a testament to the coaching staff. Ian got most improved player in the ACC and Tyson landed on an NBA roster. I think that speaks volumes.

Love they way they develop big men but I wish they were better at coaching them for the last 2-3 minutes of a game. Preparation is always huge for these situations and we don’t do well in these tight situations where we need to maintain or score a couple shots to win in a timely fashion, in My Opinion…

Yeah, my main problem with coaching is the last few minutes of the game as well.

To not throw Chase Hunter's name in here would be a crime. Especially given his numbers since the @UNC game. Overall solid growth from his early years and in a different role too.
Since @UNC....
14 pts/game 3.8 Assists /game 1.8 TO's per game 40% from 3
And these stats include the miserable BC game.

Agreed. Same with PJ as well. I just pointed out Ian and Tyson bc imo they improved the most. I believe Hunter and PJ had more raw physical talent from the start.

Schef looks like he's heading to the NBA. It's been impressive watching him develop this year.

I think he's awesome, but many awesome college players are not pro prospects.
I doubt his skills translate to the NBA or Europe.
He's not a true center and he doesn't appear particularly fast.
Most of his success seem to be effort and that only takes you so far.

Definitely. I have always though CBB is a good developer of talent. Some just transferred and he didn't get the time, or the class just wasn't that talented at times. I bet he ends up great with the NIL.

How did Purnell utilize him? Did he get better every year when he wasn't getting high?

I'm not sure I'm following your argument here. I named Jennings as a rebuttal to the argument that Brownell is great at developing players. Brownell had Jennings for what 3 years? And he got worse and worse. Nothing was said about recruiting.

Jennings was suspended multiple times for failing drug tests. He did improve every year, but never lived up to 5 star potential. Purnell coached those guys for year 1.

Fumbled the pass from Tanner. Bad memories. I personally believe that class is part of the reason Purnell left. Great on paper, but not the blue-collar type of mentality he required. He saw it was unsustainable.
