That actually hurts to watch. I just cannot bring myself to cheer when people die, even Russians bent on invading a neighbor. At least the turret didn't launch itself 50+ yards into the sky like those Russian tanks so often do when hit, but you can still see the explosion that happened when its ammo cooked off funneled its blast straight into the crew compartment...the best you can hope for there is, hopefully the crew died quickly. Makes me cringe. The Soviets and subsequent Russian Federation just never fixed the intrinsic problem of crew survivability in their autoloading tanks even though they've been building tanks with that feature since literally 1945.

M1 Abrams tanks, by way of comparison, do not carry their ammunition magazines in the turret, and those magazines are designed to vent their blast outwards instead of back into the interior of the tank, vastly increasing the survivability of the crews within. Even if the tank is hit and disabled, the crew still has a very good chance of living through it.

But the Russians have never cared about casualties, their opponents or their own. It shows. That might have been a viable attitude when they were the Soviet Union and had a population of 400+ million and thirteen republics to call upon, but now Russia has just 140 million people and their birth rate completely collapsed when the Soviet Union did. They just do not have an infinite supply of young men to throw into the meatgrinder anymore.
