Offensive Game Plan

What was the offensive game plan? I honestly did not see a rhyme or a reason to the plays that were being called. There was no rhythm, tempo or anything. Did any of you see an attempt to an offensive game plan because, I did not pick up on one.

Then forgot to take it with him. So they just drew plays in the dirt on the sideline. At least that’s what it seemed like.

We ran tempo early on, but you're right. The play calling was all over the place. And those wide screen passes? They take way to long to develop

Why did we not try to air it out a few times to keep the D honest?

Line couldn't hold up long enough to give Cade a chance.

This may be my single biggest concern. The O-line was getting whipped by a 3-man rush at the end of the game. We can make a hole for the RBs at times, but are terrible at passpro. Defense will settle down and keep us in games. Special teams will get their #### together I assume. But the fact that we still have no o-line, again, will ruin the entire offense.

Watch the OL on the goal line. Walter Parks #64 was getting pushed backwards like a tackling dummy. He needs to be replaced.

Klubnik made me want DJ back, he's a little too sissy to me, still plays like an HS QB. Goodwin is the real problem, yes there are other issues, but the D is out of position and just gets pushed around. ND will rush for 300 yds against us and FSU will boatrace us.

Clearly our staff has no confidence in the WR play

One freaking throw down field!!
They ran the ball well. You would think at a minimum we could bust Jake B over the top at least once.
But despite that. You can’t miss 2 FG and fumble twice inside the 10 and expect to beat a decent team.

One throw down field speaks to many issues..QB, WR, OL. Is the issue confidence or over confidence? I bet this team will get turned around but will never down live this loss.

At least we weren't predictable. I heard so much about Riley's offense being a big play offense, but I must have missed those tonight.

You have to have playmakers to make big plays. We don't have any.

There were big plays on offense. Two fumbles on the 1, two missed field goals.

the ball fairly effective and short passing to be Cade in rhythm. Problem is Cade didn't get there and the WR's are as bad as last year. I also think Cade is him shy and gets nervous in the pocket because the oline can't hold up.

The mind boggling thing is I didn't see the Riley influence at all. It just looked like the same offense we have been running for the last several years. I'd love to know who was really calling the plays.

There was not much of a gameplan. I dont like thst they force those screens, stick to feeding mafah and shipley if your wrs cant get the job done. I also hated that they took 0 shots at the endzone to brinningstool in the redzone.

We wanted to impose our will on them and we weren't good enough. After that we had nothing creative to open it up. We dug our grave.
