My instinct was to rhetorically ask if this was Tom Cruise's last role where he played an actual character (2004), but I forgot about Tropic Thunder (2008).



Tom Cruise, weirdo that he is, is a really talented and capable actor. If you doubt me, watch Magnolia some time.

Worth it for the club scene alone. My fave Tom Cruise role. Nobody films LA at night like Michael Mann.

literally ALWAYS stopping on and watching at least some of it when flipping channels. One of the best roles he's done, and the only one I can think of as the villian. That should tell you something, Tom.
