Chloe had a bad hole to start but hope she'll get that out her system. SoCal has the early lead but haven't got all 5 matches rocking & rolling yet, so hopefully that'll change. Gonna be kinda nervous to follow given our girls are really on cusp of further history if they can bring it today.

Is keep it close here on back 9...if they can make the turn w/o the SoCal girls building 2 hole or more leads, I like our girls' chances on front 9 (which has been the more favorable side to them most of the week)

This is certainly not the start that we wanted or I expected. This really puts the pressure on the players that are only one down and I am just not sure how they will respond. Of course, USC has a little something to do with it too.
Looks like Chloe is back to 2 down after winning the 18th. Both she and Roberts lost 3 holes in a row, but both have settled down a bit ...... now let's win some holes. Chloe's opponent recorded five 3's on her card for the first nine holes, so it isn't like Chloe had been playing poorly.

Annabelle, Isabella, & Melena are our best chances as they're within striking distance. Chloe isn't in as deep of a hole as Sydney but she's gonna have to catch fire to overcome the deficit.

It didn't help that she shot 39, but she could be pressing because she knows that she is probably going to have birdies. She may be playing their #1 stroke player as sort of a "give away" point. If that's the case, it is working!

Yep, birthday girl is going up against one of giants in college golf. Brianna is a senior at usc and she's taken down Rose Zhang, helped win a junior solheim cup.
Syd Syd's a sophomore.. a true sophomore. I'm sure all of Chesnee high is watching. Little booger may not win today but she'll win her share. And has won her entire life.

Isabella will fight tooth and nail to the very end. I equate our match today to our 2015 football team. I'd say USC women's golf is like Bama is to football. Late in the 4th quarter and down by a TD but we ain't done yet. You can do this Isabella!!!
It's not over, but win or lose, it will only make us stronger. And what valuable lessons are gained. What valuable exposure for our program. These gals rep the paw with the best of them.
Just FYI for those not as familiar with our opponent. USC was not happy losing to wake last year for the natty. Had weather not played a factor, we were on the cusp of taking down the defending national champion.

Some kind of fantastic experience and exposure. Was only a few snippets, but wonderful accolades for Hester. She deserves coty again. We're not only down Savannah's scholly but I believe at least two.
Neff needs to pony up and give Hester some money as well as coach kt. Kt is good. Like Byrd was to the 🐐.
We need some big nil dollars too. Golfpaws is great but we need major $$ for both men and women golf.
Coach Hester has some great ones coming but she'll need a couple senior transfers to tide us over. Perhaps she can get entice a junior from usc to move east.

She started her Clemson career in the fall of 2020 so I think she's a true senior and wasn't affected by any covid interruptions that I'm aware of... however, I guess if a tournament was canceled then she could. I don't remember any that fall.
It would be nice but she's ready. Will be interesting to see what she does this summer.

Is Annabelle eligible for COVID year? I thought she was legit Senior despite COVID.
I'm with you, hope nobody departs after this season. Losing only 1 senior, if we can keep this bunch together I feel there could be even brighter days ahead for women's golf in Tigertown.

Even though it is a big loss,only 1 Senior in Annabelle Pancake,so the Tigers should be good again next season and right back in the thick of things come postseason time

I know they are disappointed in the results, like all Tiger fans, but we ran into a very hot team. One of their players, Avery, had 8 - 3's in 13 holes ..... pretty hard to beat. Shoemaker had 2 - 2's and 5 - 3's ..... also difficult to beat. Very proud of what this team has accomplished!
