Swinney updates Gallman's status for FSU

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney held his weekly ACC media teleconference and gave an update on running back Wayne Gallman's status for the Florida State game.

"He's doing great," Swinney said on the teleconference. "We definitely expect him to play. He's doing really good."

Gallman suffered a concussion during an impressive 18-yard run after a vicious hit to the head by defensive back Dravious Wright in the first quarter of the North Carolina State game.

Swinney said getting Gallman back for the next game will be big for the Tigers.

"He's a great football player. He's the guy. He's clearly our leader at that position," Swinney said. "We really like our other players but we don't have a lot of experience there. Here is a guy that has played in a lot of big games and has been our workhorse."

Gallman has 90 rushes for 489 yards and five touchdowns this season.
