I put up a wager thread for the Derby as Clemson has a horse running there.
Wager 50 and all pay the winner, so you win 1000.
4 horses are left, none will be by Race time.
This year one horse bleeds Orange.
He lacks the speed of the other champions there, but just making the field says a lot as these guys are the best.
I think he has a real shot as while he lacks speed, he is strong and runs with heart.
Sierra Leone is part owned by a Clemson guy who was the manager of the cross-country and track teams.
He has given $millions to Clemson.
He says if we win, it will be another NATTY for Clemson.
He met his Bride at Clemson 32 years ago.

Updates from the derby are the track is dry and this is a speed race, closers will struggle to compete.

I have competed in hundreds of foot races with my peers over the South East.
Leave home after midnight with friends in the van and line up at dawn.
It is kinda like golf or bowling buddies who want to kick each others ###.
Cold, heat rain, just line up and ~~
I could not beat the younger college kids in my van but they would know if I did less than my best against the geezers there (and give me hell)
I have no speed. Somedays I won due to the reserves in my beer belly.
Like me, all you know is what we all read.
The chance of SL (or any horse) winning against a field like this is "not likely".
That does not mean all there are not the best.
There are no loosers in this race. They are excellent and will do the best they can.
All have heart. No one will "give".
Talent is best, but some days a guy like me wins.
Do your best and walk away with pride.
